Other applications include: outdoor ceiling speakers, ceiling tile speakers, as well as standard in ceiling speakers.This is a brand we came across while doing some R&D for our own upcoming brand name speakers. At this point we're still a little cramped for space to bring in as many products as we need to create our own branded speakers and accessories. So we asked the factory we were dealing with if there were any other companies looking at the same type of products we were...and we came across JA Audio.These products are from the same molds in which we were trying to design our models. This is the type of quality combination that we thought was missing from our current line-up of brands and models coming from the larger names that we carry.JA Audio has a good balance of great sound at a lower price thru the use of more current materials and compact packaging.We'd love to sell these for more money as the quality is there to compare to other more expensive brands, but we simple can't mark these up that much. We pass along the design efficiencies to you. We are one step away in the inventory chain from the Factory in China. So buy with confidence...we really believe these are some of the best values in custom home speakers out there today.Transcript of the Video above:"In this video we are going to introduce the JA Audio's first shot at an 8 inch wall speaker. Their 6.5 inch is one of our best selling ones in the size and shape and finally they are going to do an eight inch version of the what they call the silver series or aluminum cone. So let's get into the box.This is the JA Audio JAI8AII. Even though there really wasn't a "I". But that's here nor there. They do a really nice job of packaging. It's two colors though. That saves them some money in the packaging. You'll see that in the value of their line. It's a very smart designed speaker company. Each one of the speakers is individually wrapped in here. We got cut-outs for each of the speakers. It you read on here, the outer dodded circle is for the cut-out area. So make sure which one to use here. Each one has instructions. A lot of companies with these in-wall brands don't add instructions. They just kind of expect installers to do it. But now there are more do-it-yourselfer's. This company is doing a nice job of including some instructions for you guys. You can always give us a call though. We can help you out. Inner layers to protect the bezel. They use only cardboard throughout. There is a little spacer in here that helps it stay inside the box. We don't have any shipping damage with these guys.Nice grill, nothing fancy. Almost all of them look the same, right? Anyway, to get the grill of,turn these out, push, those things pop out. They push the screw through and then you can get the grill of. On the inside this one has the cloth backing. Again, this is to hide the black stuff inside so you can't see through. You can't see any of the speaker materials. It's a clean look on your wall. If you are going to paint these, paint these off the speaker. Take this backing of, do your paint and the re-apply it.Really nice design on this line. This thing should just be an incredible sounding speaker for the price. I think these things are going for under $200 and the designs that are coming out of China, they keep amazing me. This is a phase pull plug and they are doing this on both of their 6.5 and 8 inch version of their wall speakers. It decreases the distortion that happens around the dust cap with the air movement. All of the air is going to move straight out of here and then blend into the room. It's such a fine line of what these things can sound like. An everyday meat and potatoes kind of guy isn't going to hear these nuances but somebody that has a little nicer ear is really going to hear this. This is going to be a nice sounding woofer. Aluminum cone tweeter up here too to match the characteristics. You got a 3 dB switch for the tweeter. So if you move this down, it's going to take the tweeter down 3 decibels. It is going to make it seem like it is a more "bassy" speaker but it's really just apparent the relation between these two that this is 3 dB down. Normally it is going to be in the "0" position.On the back of the speaker we see they used mylar capacitors for the tweeter circuit. They do have one for the woofer side. It's not as important for the woofer but you can hear some of these differences if there is a cheap capacitor in there. The tweeter wouldn't sound as pure. So it's a nice addition there. These are all coated. Not sure... ah, it's an epoxy coat. That just keeps those in line. Probably during shipping, keeps them from getting any kind of damage from moving around. Those are attached to the board with this cable tie. These things, they won't come of in shipping. These are kind of a screw type terminal connector binding post. Not a big fan of the screw type for in-walls. I'd rather see spring here but tighten those down nice and snug onto your wire and you should be fine.Good size magnet. Looks like it's the right size for this type of speaker. You don't want to see something smaller than this. This bezel here... and you don't want to see something too insanely big. It's just gonna be extra cost and value wise this is a very nice speaker."
