Comments about JA Audio Extreme Series EX-206C 6 1/2 in. Angled In-Ceiling Speakers:
I was looking for an in-ceiling speaker for rear surround sound application and was intrigued by the number of speakers on the market now with angled drivers. I have owned a number of quality audio products in my time and I demand good quality speakers. Found these and decided to give them a shot. If you are reading this and are feeling indecisive about the name brand JA Audio and the fact you have never heard of them don't be afraid these are excellent speakers that are clearly well made and sound fantastic. The build quality and sound is phenomenal for this price. Clean, crisp, neutral and solid sound. No matter the application these would work in any situation. For surround these are fantastic, the angled drivers really do make a big difference in getting the sound across the room to other listening positions. Installation was very simple and straight forward, good instructions and a handy template they supply for the hole cut. Have had the 5.1 extreme surround sound speakers up for about 2 weeks now. They have outperformed my expectations. In my previous home I had bottom end Phoenix Golds. These are powered by a Yamaha 5830, and they truly sound great. These in-walls use the "infinite baffle" as I didn't build boxes for them. I was worried of echo effects, but there are none. I have not heard them distort yet, and have turned my amp up about 3/4 power. These truly are a deal. GDH Indiana
